On the last play, cris collinsworth said Matt Allen should have spiked the ball after the bad snap. However, this is intentional grounding, which is a ten yard penalty and a runoff. The giants did have a timeout left. If he had spiked the ball, could they have used the timeout to prevent the runoff?
