I hate the Pats but NFL fans were awfully lucky to watch this man plan.  I was really lucky to cover this man for as long as I did.

I think if a great opportunity presented itself, then he would play one more season. However, I don't think he has any desire to go to the Raiders for one year and go 10-7. So, might as well go home to the family.

As a Dolphins fan, I don't really think there is much to discuss.

Any demons I needed to exercise from him being a Patriot rival, I dealt with 1) when he left the Patriots and moved to the NFC and 2) when he retired the first time.

Since then, I don't find him to be a threat in the NFL, in the traditional sense (he wasn't competing for championships) and I never took seriously for one second the prospect of him playing here.  So, it's kind of a nothingburger for me personally.  I hope the dude has a good life and gets his personal shit in order.  I'll be glad not to have to speculate on him anymore.

I hate Tom Brady and he ruined football is a terrible person. That said I’ll happily forget about him and hopefully he won’t do something stupid and run for Congress.

I won’t truly believe he is retired until this time next year.  Not going to be shocked if he is in camp somewhere or joins a QB needy team midsession. 

If anyone lives in dolphins4life's general area, could you please check in on him from time to time? This must be a very emotional time for him...

I still can't believe how lucky he was during his career.  Even in his last season.

He was very fortunate but the guy was also a legend too. Both statements can be true at once.

You can get lucky on a single play, such as reaching up and catching a football with your helmet. But luck tends to even itself out over a 22 year career. 

Yes and you always remember luck going against you more than luck going towards you. I always remember the Panthers kicker pushing the ball out of bounds in the Superbowl that led to a GW FG, it was shocking one of the best kickers in the league did that. That was obviously great luck for Brady that had nothing to do with his skill.

However, of the 3 Patriots Superbowl losses, I'm sure he has had some dropped passes and bad luck as well.

Not for Brady.

Tom Brady is 3-0 in overtime coin flips in the playoffs.

Brady was a decent player in all aspects of the game: running around, arm strength, accuracy, etc.  He had no crazy hole that you could exploit.

But he's the best ever at coordinating and understanding pre-snap and where to go with the ball.  To me, that's his legacy.

The exact same number as has appeared in more than 7 championships.  Play in enough games and things average out.

Brady’s legacy is one of cheating, fraud, ridiculous rules, bad calls and inexplicable calls from opposing teams. Nothing will convince me otherwise and the sooner this guy is fading into memory the better.

I’m sure he’ll be the highest paid analyst somewhere but that’s why the devil invented the mute button.

Last thing..I just saw his record against every team. 24-12 against Miami. Considering how much we sucked I’m glad we were somewhat of a spear in his holy side. Denver also has a winning record against him in Playoffs which is kinda nice.

Goodbye Tom, I will not miss you.
