This is a horrible trend for the Jets.   First Vinny Testaverde in 1999, then Chad Pennington in 2003, and now Aaron Rodgers.   It seems like every time they're coming off a good season and get a top tier QB behind center, disaster strikes for that QB.

Rodgers is out for the season.
The question for me is, is he done for good?  Can Rodgers come back for year 2?  Or does he just hang it up and callit a career?

Very good question.   That's a tough injury to come back from, and the fact that he will be 40 next year doesn't help.   The sad thing is it didn't look that bad when he limped to the locker room.  It looked like an injured ankle or something.

I think he can come back.

He has a full year to recover.  It's not like this happened midway through the year.

If he has a normal recovery and the team shows heart this year and looks like they are a Rodgers away from contending, then he will be back. If he has struggles and wont be ready until November and the team goes 5-12, then maybe not.

Rodgers' career is over.  He's not the type of guy to rush a comeback; and at his age it's not worth it to risk further injury.
