Not only is he a generational talent, but he worked well with Bill specifically, he took less money consistently so his team didn't crumble around him. You can't just expect to be a perpetual dynasty.

Basically during the Brady years everything just fell into place perfectly for the Pats. It happened in '72 for the Dolphins. There was no world football league to take several of their best players. Maybe if the NFL was paying the players what they are getting paid now, Zonk would have never left? But then again with it being a defensive and run oriented league it wouldn't have lasted as long as the Pats dynasty lasted anyway. Perfect storm for them.
