Unless the coverage is way off, it's just a very high-risk, low reward type of play. I seem to remember more than a few of those turning into pick-6s during the Tannehill years.

It seems the middle of the field is more attractive, especially with the big lead. McDaniel needs to have a cut down and simplified play sheet for whoever the backup may be. Those outside passes to the out need to be fast and crisp. John Candy's corpse could have turned that into a pick 6
