Title: There is simplicity in the path forward Post by: Dave Gray on December 26, 2023, 12:24:15 pm I almost have a feeling of calm at the remainder of the schedule. We are so directly in control of what happens to us, and the floor is that we still make the playoffs. It's what I always talk about: If you are good and you win, you're gonna be a high seed and have a chance. If you lose and you're backing in, we can root for this or that, but you're probably not cut out for the deep run anyway.
In short: If we win both games, we get a BYE. If we win one of two, we get a home playoff game. If we lose both games, we play on the road. It's simple and straightforward and it doesn't really involve looking at the scoreboard of other games. I'm looking at someone else's data, but assuming it's true, if we win one of two, there's about a 30% chance that we'll get Buffalo two weeks in a row, but there are a lot of teams in that mix. If we lose out, we'll probably play KC at Arrowhead. It's unlikely that they do lose, but the possibility is still there.
