How closely are you guys paying attention to this?

Only enough to know the protests are pretty much non existent

Does anyone know if the jury is sequestered? Seems like it would be very easy to get information if not.

They are not.  Sequestering juries is very rare.

No. That's why some people dropped off. As soon as people found out they were picked for the jury they received a barrage of calls, messages, etc.

I'm casually following but honestly don't care how it turns out. I spend a few minutes a day reading an article or two but that's about it.

They jury is not sequestered, but was asked to voluntarily avoid watching or engaging with the trial in the media.  I don't think it's that hard, honestly.  Do you really want to go sit through that all day and then come home and watch people talk about it more on TV?  I'm sure you'll hear about it in passing, but I don't think I'd want to be deep diving the trial when I already sat through it all day.

I have been paying attention in the evenings, just listening to recaps, mostly -- plus whatever is reported on Threads from various sources.  It's generally all the same story.

One thing about trials is that they are different from media appearances and reporting.  "Spin" doesn't really exist as much in same way.  You can't just get up in court and lie about stuff, so it's more of a straightforward nuts and bolts.  ...not 100%, but it elevates past ideological left vs. right.

I know it's rare that is simple math based on the number of trials there are. Big time trials like this, OJ, Zimmerman,  Anthony, etc. can see it though. The big differences with this one is it's federal and not a murder trial.

This is not a federal case; it's a NY state case.
Although Michael Cohen was convicted of federal crimes for this same incident, feds chose not to charge Trump.
