Title: I was today's years old...
Post by: Phishfan on February 18, 2025, 10:41:42 pm
This doesn't have to be something you just learned today but just something you think you should have or wish you had learned about sooner. For me it was the difference between frozen corn and canned corn. Growing up corn was either on the cob or canned. When I finally had tried the frozen I was surprised how much better it was than canned.

What did it take you a while to learn?

Under no circumstances should you give "baby aspirin" to a baby.

(necessary note: I learned this from a pharmacist, not trial and error)

You can extend that to almost all food.....frozen is better than canned.

Import and craft beer bottles do not have "twist off" caps.

don't give aspirin to kids or teenagers either, there's a very remote but very severe risk

I recently learned actors I had been watching for years are Maggie Smith's kids. Not a big deal but kind of funny to me.

This isn't super recent, but I was way too old when I saw the word "Bullseye" written out and realized that it was some form of "Bull's Eye".

For some reason, I assumed it was a word like "Bazinga" or "Abracadabra" that was for excitement, like "Bulzye!"
