Not that I wouldn't mind having a girl, but I'm the last chance for the Kilmurry name to continue.

My brother has had 3 girls and he's pretty much given up. Out of my father's three brothers, one died in Vietnam, one had only one girl, and the other did have two boys, but one died young and the other is done have children after 2 girls.

If I don't have a boy, as far as I know, the Kilmurry name dies here in America.

Congrats Scar Man.....Enjoy parenthood my friend. They grow up so damn fast. It seems like just yesterday I was changing diapers and losing sleep and fudging with car seats and strollers. My boy is turning 11 in March. Again Congrats!!!!!  :)

Question - You going to go into the room when your wife is having the baby or are you going to be in the waiting room. Just wondering

how about you maine, When your wife is having the baby are you going to be by her side.

I don't know about y'all but when my time is here I will NOT be in the delivery room.  Call me when it's over and the baby is out (and cleaned up a little).

I was in the room when Josh was born, and cut the cord. It was a realy special moment for me. There is only one point that I was a little grossed out. Anyone who has been present during natural childbirth will probably know what it is.

I also think Maine will not be grossed out since he has a nursing background.

If I ever make the mistake of having kids, I don't want to be in the delivery room.  I don't like to see my girlfriend in pain...it wigs me out.  I'd rather her mom be in there, or someone who can sympathize.  

I too was in the room and cut the cord. I wouldn't have had it any other way!!!!!  :)

I don't know.... It depends. I think I'm gonna try. If I get too weirded out, then I'll probably leave.

I hope she doesn't poop on the table.

Congrats to you Matt.  I didn't realize it was an option not to be in there.  I can't understand why the guy wouldn't want to be there.  I'm very glad I was.

My wife would disown me if I didn't stay in there.
