Title: Re: mock draft Post by: Denver_Bronco on January 12, 2006, 11:19:44 am I figured Denver's 1st rounder from Wash would be a 15 or 16 at worst. Wahington needs to lose. Now.
Title: Re: mock draft Post by: Sunstroke on January 12, 2006, 11:21:49 am They got #7 right anyway... ;D
Title: Re: mock draft Post by: mcduff81 on January 12, 2006, 11:22:21 am So you have a vested interest..is that pick Champ Bailey/Clinton Portis related???
Huff is the guy I would love..A hard hitting, physical corner..assuming Cutler is gone. Title: Re: mock draft Post by: mcduff81 on January 12, 2006, 11:23:48 am Quote They got #7 right anyway... Â ;D I thought that would make you happy. Williams is a stud. Would love to see him as a Dolphin. Title: Re: mock draft Post by: Denver_Bronco on January 12, 2006, 11:26:08 am Quote So you have a vested interest..is that pick Champ Bailey/Clinton Portis related??? Yup, thats the pick from the Portis trade. We got Tatum Bell with the other pick so its not all too bad either way though.Huff is the guy I would love..A hard hitting, physical corner..assuming Cutler is gone. Title: Re: mock draft Post by: Sunstroke on January 12, 2006, 12:00:31 pm Quote I thought that would make you happy. Williams is a stud. Would love to see him as a Dolphin. Yeah...when they announced the order and I saw SF was at #7, I put the Jimmy Williams picture up as my avatar. He is a superstar caliber player at our position of greatest need. We no longer have our other Jimmy Williams (special teamer) either, so name confusion won't be a problem. ;D And with the 7th pick of the second round...SF will take whichever of the stud O-linemen inexplicably slips out of the first round. Title: Re: mock draft Post by: JVides on January 12, 2006, 12:11:07 pm I wouldn't mind seeing Huff in a Dolphins Uni. I'd still rather a stud tackle (they tend to play many, many years), but a corner / safety like Huff would be nice, too.
Title: Re: mock draft Post by: MaineDolFan on January 12, 2006, 01:06:35 pm That's the worst mock I've seen in a while. Winston doesn't go until the last pick of the first round? Miami will take help at the O line before a DB.
Title: Re: mock draft Post by: Phishfan on January 12, 2006, 01:50:03 pm Most people don't seem to be very high on Winston. He was recovering from an injury and did not have that great of a year. None of Miami's lineman had a good year. I think the Phins need to do whatever possible to select a DB in the first round if Cutler desn't fall back. Our O-line played pretty well last year and O-line is deep in this draft. A 6-1 205 pound corner with speed who can also play safety is not to be passed on especially when that was our weakest unit last season..
Title: Re: mock draft Post by: TonyB0D on January 12, 2006, 02:07:50 pm like LenDale will fall that far!!! puh-lease!!
Title: Re: mock draft Post by: Philly Fin Fan on January 12, 2006, 02:24:27 pm I know they are speculating, but I don't think Posluszny will come out.
Title: Re: mock draft Post by: Sunstroke on January 12, 2006, 02:43:32 pm I think Posluszny already announced he was going back, didn't he? I want to say I read that yesterday from one of the PA papers that was linked to the ESPNLocal.
* ...and Tony is right. No way LenDale White falls that far. Maybe, just maybe...if Winston Justice can slide this far in a mock, isn't there some possible chance that he slides to the start of the second round? SF has a Greek boatload of picks in this draft, and if they could just grab Jimmy Williams at #7 to nab the defensive stud, and then move up from the 7th spot in the second round to take Winston Justice for our O-line stud, I think that would be a 49ers fan's dream come true. ;D (All the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray...) That would make a nice draft all by itself. Title: Re: mock draft Post by: run_to_win on January 12, 2006, 07:42:15 pm Quote Miami will take help at the O line before a DB. As much as we need a DB, I hope so. This line was considered terrible in 2001. This line was considered good in 2002 (Ricky William, Jamie Nails). This line was considered terrible in 2003. This line was considered terrible in 2004. This line was considered "much improved" in 2005 (Hudson Houck). Title: Re: mock draft Post by: raptorsfan29 on January 13, 2006, 07:32:44 pm You made one error. it should go like this
This line was considered terrible in 2001. This line was considered good in 2002 (Ricky William, Jamie Nails). This line was considered terrible in 2003. This line was considered the worst unit ever to be assembled in 2004 This line was considered "much improved" in 2005 (Hudson Houck). Title: Re: mock draft Post by: dolfan13 on January 14, 2006, 08:01:49 pm michael huff is a very special player. will be an excellent nfl player for a long time to come. he is so versatile in the secondary and can really play anywhere in the defensive backfield. hard hitter, will flourish in a saban style defense.
