Title: It's never too early: NFC/AFC Predictions
Post by: jtex316 on January 15, 2006, 05:34:11 pm
It's never too early for this, so let's get it started.

Try to guess the score of the game in each game.

By the way, if anyone here at the beginning of the year said that these 4 teams would be in it at the end, you're full of shit.  It was going to be a New england / Colts vs. Falcons / Eagles championship Sunday.  Maybe you picked the Carolina Panthers, but you definitely did NOT pick the 4 team combo we have been left with.  NO ONE picked either Denver or Pittsburgh, except for the fans of those teams.

AFC Title Game:

Pittsburgh - 17
Denver - 19

The Steelers almost coughed up the game, and it left a bad taste in my mouth.  They are lucky to be alive, and Denver will win this game.

NFC Title Game:

Carolina - 27
Seattle - 7

I don't trust Seattle as far as I can throw them.  The Panthers aren't the Redskins.  They are 1,000 times tougher and meaner.  Seattle, once again, gives me really no reason to trust them, despite their win vs. Redskins.

Pittsburgh 24
Denver 21

Both teams have big, physical defenses.  Pittsburgh, however, has a better running game.

Seattle 21
Carolina 17

Another defensive battle, but Seattle's home field advantage tips the scales here.

PIT  24
DEN 21

Polamalu will have 10+ tackles in the game; will be the x-factor.

CAR   31
SEA   21

Seattle will find a way to choke again & will be too emotional after their first playoff win since the 80's and first ever conference championship.

90% of the world took Pitt against Indy? Funny, but if we use our predictions on here as a barometer, less than 5% of the world took Pitt. (I was the only one)

I know this is going to put a smile on denvers face, but I think the broncos are going to the Superbowl.  Pitt was lucky to escape indy and their luck will run out this week.

As far as the NFC goes, no alexander no superbowl for seattle.

I, too, think the Broncos have a clear path.  I'll eat crow, Bronco.  Plummer continues to play well, and the Cleveland defensive line has been really strong.  Carolina has the type of team to give Denver fits, but they've lost their starting running back.

if Pittsburgh can beat Indy in Indy, why are you giving them no chance to beat Denver??

It's just one of those things mcduff,  Miami beats SD at SD, shock to everyone.  Pitt had a solid game,  Indy didn't.  If they were to play again this weekend I think the Colts take 'em out.

MAN I love it when people reiterate what I said days ago(great minds think alike predatory).  Hope I'm wrong though.    ;D
