You're not the only one who echoes this sentiment. Here's a quote from Bob Flanders at DolphinBlog.com It would be kind of funny if the two teams the Phins beat at the beginning of the season, Carolina and Denver, end up facing each other in the Super Bowl. Hell---we beat them when we were still green behind the ears with the Saban philosophy of winning. --------- Title: Re: Carolina - Denver Super Bowl...does that mean. Come on, Homers. Take off the blinders. You beat both of these teams EARLY in the year (and Steve Smith still torched the Dolphins). Do you honestly believe in some way that these two teams are anywhere near the level they were before? They are like 1,000 times better and tougher. The Dolphins would get abolished if playing either team in the post-season. (If that's where you're going with this post Maine). Title: Re: Carolina - Denver Super Bowl...does that mean. Not really...just clinging on to the 2005 season in any way that I can! :) Title: Re: Carolina - Denver Super Bowl...does that mean. I have to... And Miami wasn't better and tougher?  6 straight wins,  including at New England and San Diego.  And don't give me that crap that they were supposed to win most of their games,  most of us thought Miami was gonna suck ass this year. (If that's where you're going with this post Maine). I certainly don't think the team would be abolished...beaten, perhaps.  Demolished, even.  Done away with completely?  No.  I guess "Win or Go Home" would really mean something then, huh? Jan 20, 2007 Associated Press The NFL today abolished the Miami Dolphins franchise after the team's poor performance in a 24-17 loss against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game.  When reached at his home, former coach Nick Saban stated "I guessed it was a possibility relative to the way the league abolished the Giants franchise after their loss to the Seahawks; I just never figured we'd be cut from the league as well."
