Title: Mota flunks physical, Coco deal on hold...plus Theo news: Post by: MaineDolFan on January 24, 2006, 10:17:41 pm I'm still Coo Coo for Coco...but hold the press for now. Two reports are coming in right now; the first being that Mota outright failed his physical and the deal is on hold. The second is that there is a minor "snag" and things are progressing.
Either way - for now please keep the milk in the fridge before pouring any Crisps. Like that? Har har, I'll be here all week...try the veal. Other news, Sox officially announced that Theo returns to the team as executive vice president of baseball operations and (ready?) General Manager. The exact same title he held before leaving on 10/31. No press conference, we were sent an email. Awwww, warm and fuzzies all around. A blurb from Theo's portion of that note: "I believe that with our new vision in place, with renewed lines of communication, and with a real sense of unity, we have a chance to be a greater organization than we were before. We thank Red Sox Nation for being patient with us, and we promise to work tirelessly, quietly, and in harmony to field clubs that can contend for a world championship year after year." Um, we're not patient, Theo. Get us a center fielder and make sure his name is COCO!
