Title: Question Post by: SCFinFan on February 06, 2006, 10:19:00 pm Hey y'all. I just got accepted to St. Thomas Law school in Miami. I've never actually been to Miami, unfotunately, and so I wanted to ask if anyone knew anything about the school or the area that it's in. I'm really considering it as my school, and so, if anyone knows anything about it or the area that it's in, I'd appreciate a heads up...
The school's address is: 16401 37th Ave, Miami Gardens, FL 33054. Is that a nice area? I searched on mapquest and it's near the airport. Title: Re: Question Post by: Brian Fein on February 06, 2006, 10:40:57 pm It all depends. Some of that area, like south of 163rd street is really bad and ghetto. Other places, like Aventura just a few blocks away, is luxurious.
I've never been to St. Thomas itself. The area near the airport is OK, I guess... Its not bad, I know some people who live down there. Make sure, if you do decide to come down, you scour the area. And, oh yeah, learn some spanish! Title: Re: Question Post by: run_to_win on February 07, 2006, 12:29:47 am And, oh yeah, learn some spanish! If you don't know the appropriate spanish phrase just say it in English with lots of profanity. I don't know why but it gets great results in my line of work. You ask nicely, you even demonstrate - they just stand there with a blank look on their face. You cuss a blue streak and they get right to work. Time to move on and find other non-believers to convert (or annoy). |
