Title: Re: Carr's got an extension Post by: Sunstroke on February 10, 2006, 03:29:03 pm I don't see this as being a door-closer for trade possibilities. It likely makes him even more tradeable because he's locked in to a contract. Sign and trade, baby...sign and trade.
Vince is going full-force on the PR between now and the draft...the dude is on camera everywhere. I still think he'll wear down McNair and convince the Texans to draft him by April. ;D Title: Re: Carr's got an extension Post by: TonyB0D on February 10, 2006, 04:31:11 pm ^^^^^

That means they gave him the $8M bonus and have him signed for three additional years at base salaries of $5.25M 2006 & 2007 and $6M in 2008. That does not sound like a sign & trade deal to me. I agree. No one is going to take a contract that high. Looks like they're gonna stick with him as their franchise QB and get him some O-Line help. |
