I believe you start with a letter of resignation.

Oh boy...long list here<g>. From the top:

* Shoot the owner, John York, with a high-powered sniper rifle.

* Hire a football guy for our front office, so Paraag can get back to counting his beans.

* Re-sign J-Pete and Derek Smith to keep our LB corps intact.

* SF has plenty of $$ and cap room, so be aggressive but smart in FA. Go after D-linemen who have any speed on the edges, go after WRs who have any size. Go after any O-linemen who have their health.

* Draft for talent, moreso than filling specific need areas. If the top talent happens to be at a position of need, great...but SF needs playmakers at any position they can get them. If either Jimmy Williams or Michael Huff are our 1st rd pick, we're going in the right direction. Multiple O-linemen after the third round, optimally one who can play RT and one who can cover G/C.

* Convince Frank Gore that if he has an excellent offseason and comes in healthy, that he'll likely take the starting RB job away from Kevan.

* Commission the greatest machinists on the planet to fabricate a device that will stretch Alex Smith's fingers so he doesn't fumble every other time he touches the ball..

* Spend every moment that you aren't scouting for talent, in church, praying for miracles.

1. Reinstall back Eddie DeBartolo as owner

2. Get some capable O-Linemen.  I honestly think D'Brick will slip to #7 making Sunstroke's "Squishiest of wet dreams" a reality.

3.  Pick up at least one D-Lineman who is a pass rushing specialist.

I would draft Matt Leinart, and then trade him for some compensatory draft picks ::)

I miss Eddie running my Niners as much as anyone on the planet, but the NFL will never let him back in. It would take an act of God to force a reconciliation between Eddie and his sister, and John York hates him so much that even God might not get him back through that door.

I sure hope you're right on D-Brick though, and I have to admit that I got a little squishy again just considering it. I just can't see him sliding to #7.

Better make it two or more DEs with speed... We have 11 picks, so we definitely should add a little depth there.

Maybe the Dolphins should dangle Kevin Carter or Vonnie Holliday.... see what they can get.  I'm sure the Niners will move down from seven to 16 for one of those two, plus a lower round pick, maybe a 5th or 6th.

On behalf of the Niners...no thank you to either. I'd prefer the Niners stay where they are at the 7 slot than trade down to add an aging D-lineman. They need youth and speed on the line, and Carter and Holliday don't meet that end.

You just want to see Miami move up to 7 for a shot at Cutler... 'fess up!   ;D

one word "CONTRACT". LOL

one word "CONTRACT". LOL

Not even sure how to respond to that, because I have no idea what the hell you're saying there. They should offer one-word contracts to their players? John York should "contract" a venereal disease? I'll LOL along with ya if you'd just be kind enough to explain the gag.  ;)
