By ARMANDO SALGUEROasalguero@MiamiHerald.com  The Dolphins have officially joined the free agent fray, today agreeing to terms with linebacker Sedrick Hodge and cornerback Andre Goodman. Hodge leaves the New Orleans Saints and comes to Miami by agreeing to a two-year deal worth $2 million with up to $1 million in incentive money if he can challenge for the Dolphins' starting outside linebacker spot. Goodman leaves the Detroit Lions after agreeing to a three-year deal worth approximately $5 million. This makes me wonder if we are close to something with Brees. Remember, Saban said we wouldn't address any other positions until the QB situation was done. From what I'm reading (john clayton), it appears that Miami not only made an offer to Drew Brees, but to WR David Givens as well. Givens is considering all the offers he got from Cleveland, Miami and probably a few other teams before making a decision. Hmmm...Brees throwing to Chambers, Givens, Booker and McMichael and handing off to Ronnie behind an even-better Houck-built O-line. 'Excuse me while I drool a little bit here... |
