Title: Lewis still a Raven

Less than 12 hours after the Ravens replaced Chester Taylor with Mike Anderson, Jamal Lewis got what he wanted -- a chance to return to Baltimore.

Lewis accepted a three-year deal to stay in Baltimore. Terms of the deal were unavailable because Lewis' agent Mitch Frankel was on a flight this morning.

I love it. Rot away with the scum in B-More. You quitter.

What is the quitter reference?
I'm guessing that's directed towards Mike Anderson...

Well he insuated that he wasn't trying at a point last year because he was in a contract year and didn't want to get injured if the Ravens weren't willing to anti-up. Then, of course he back tracked. We know the truth though.

Mike Anderson is a hero. A marine and a hell of a football player. We were blessed to have him in Denver, but his time and age are against him as well as our cap #. He just breaks down too much at the end of the seasons at this point in his career.

I remember this. He also made some remarks towards Billick. Now Billick is an idiot of a coach, so I'm not defending him.  But Lewis basically called him a liar and said he didn't want to play in Baltimore ever again, and wanted to go to Arizona. I guess no interest in the free agency market (and the Cards signing Edge) changed his mind.

With the glut of FA running backs and solid depth at the position in the draft, I can't image why a star player like Lewis couldn't land a big deal somewhere.
