"We have to make sure we have a capable backup at that position..." umm, what? I thought Ricky WAS the "capable backup?" Am I reading too much into this? Or did Coach let one slip? However, if he plays well, the Dolphins may forget about the judgment. If he is suspended for a year, the Dolphins may enforce that judgment, but then Ricky would file for bankruptcy and become a free agent after the year is over.
Title: Re: Saban on Ricky Post by: The_Phinatic on March 29, 2006, 07:36:50 pm I personally think he is going to win this appeal. His attorney is an expert in this field and we know it's not weed or steroids if we believe the reports. If it was weed, I'd have already written him off.
Regardless, Miami isn't going to live or die based on what happens to Ricky. Wanny is no longer here. Sammy Morris is a capable backup and there is always the draft if Ricky doesn't come back. I doubt they go after the $8mil because that seemed to be more about him retiring than getting in trouble. If he is suspended, he is still employed by the Dolphins. |
