Title: NFL Total Access on NFL Network
Post by: crazy_scar_man on May 23, 2006, 12:12:23 pm
I record both NFL Total Access on NFL Network and NFL Live on ESPN daily. Despite NFL Live being a half hour shorter and with more commercials, it blows NFL Total Access out of the water.

NFL Total Access sucks for a few reasons.

Production is low. This will improve over time, but it seems amatuer compared to ESPN.

Rich Eisen sucks my ass. He's got a good voice, but he doesn't know how to talk to the players on the show. It makes me want to melt into a puddle.

Their co-anchors suck ass. I can understand having players on as guests, but it doesn't make sense to have a new one on each show as a co anchor. They are forced to give opinions on players and teams they probably know nothing about. Like an offensive lineman for the Detroit Lions commenting on the defensive back situation in Tampa Bay.

I'm hoping the show will improve alot over this season.

Ehh..I sort of disagree....I see them as 2 different beasts...I don't watch NFL Live, becuse they're going to stay on one story,OVER,and Over, and OVER...then I'm gonna see parts of it on sportscenter, and Espn News...Reggie bush is a great example before the draft, every draft show on ESPN was Reggie Bush,Reggie,Bush,Reggie Bush....

2 people keep me away from NFL Live alot...Sean Salsbury,Merril Hoge..they both annoy the hell out of me....

I'll give ESPN is More polished...They better be,they are competeing with the league they're covering.

I actually like NFL Total Access, but I do agree that some of the co-hosts have no right being in any public speaking capacity. I've always liked Rich Eisen though...even when he was a Sportscenter anchor. NFL Total Access is much better during the season, as well as during all the pre-draft workouts, than NFL Live is, imo.
