Title: MLB's biggest star about to be pulled into HGH scandal?
Post by: MaineDolFan on June 09, 2006, 05:22:07 pm
It's being reported that Jason Grimsley and Albert Pujols share a trainer - and that the feds have been looking at Pujols.

Hmmmm...

It wouldn't shock me. When I look for telltale signs of steroid abuse, I look for big jumps in stats and physical deformities. Pujols definitely has the skull that says HGH.

The thing with his stats are they never had a big jump because from Day 1 he was one of the best players. I tend to lean to the side that says steroids, but that's just a guess. He certainly isn't as obvious as Bonds, McGwire, Sosa or Luis Gonzalez.

He also has not udergone a massive increase in size, he has always been big.

True, but that also falls into the category of his overall stats.

I would like to see a pic of him in A or AA. Truth is, I don't think he's even that big right now. He looks like the same size as Manny Ramirez and I never thought for one second he was on steroids.

I'll consider the possibility of Pujols being on 'roids when something other than rumors are presented. Until then, he's clean as the driven snow.
