Is anyone else concerned that the secondary really hasn't been a strong focus of free agency so far?

I know it was depleted by injuries last season, but it really wasn't that good to begin with. I'm glad they brought Yeremiah Bell back, but feel that they needed to do more. With so many holes to fill in the draft, it would've been nice to have gotten help in the secondary from some free agents.

We got so many holes on this team it is hard to address them all.

Secondary is down on the list.  We can have a great defense with a poor secondary, for example, like in 2006.  The other defensive units are of greater priority.  Plus, Allen and Bell are a solid saftey tandem, assuming Allen keeps improving the way he did last year.

I have concerns,Especially at Safety..Yeah Jason Allen showed improvement this past year, but I think he needs to step up big time,to prove to Parcells to keep him around with that first round pick money...The Lack of Depth also worries me,Courtney Bryan and Tuff Harris don't exactly excite me...Renaldo hill,Cameron worrell both recovering from ACL injuries (then Travis Daniels listed as a Saftey also)

With Y.Bell wine glass fragile, and the rest of them injury prone themselves,or coming off a mojor injury,or just plain stink.....
That postition scares me...

I do see us signing a guy or 2 after the draft, off the scrap heap.

I would think we're better off drafting them as opposed to picking them up in free agency.  Not only that but having a better defensive line improves your secondary play considerably.

He's definitely not a free agent, but Atlanta is desperate for QB help.  If we can trade the #1 pick to them so they can have Matt Ryan, take their #3, pick up Hall in the process, and still grab one of the two Longs (whoever St. Louis doesn't take), that trade works in our favor tremendously.

If we can get Atlanta to throw in a second or third round pick, it's grand theft in our favor.

Assuming Atlanta is not stupid, why would they trade up knowing neither the Dolphins nor the Rams are going to draft Matt Ryan?

Because from what the media says, the Dolphins will draft Matt Ryan.  I seriously hope it's more posturing by Bill Parcells... faking interest in Matt Ryan so he can pull off the trade.  If he can do that, he truly is a genius.

As I said .. assuming Atlanta is not stupid.  The media is full of shit and everyone knows it.  We don't even belive what they say.
