Do any of you have allergies?  If so, to what?

I have the traditional hay-fever type deal.  Pollen, dust, dander, etc.

I had it worse when I was younger, and it was kinda off and on.  It went away for a few years, but it's back with a vengeance.  The last 2 months or so have been torture.  I am pretty miserable, and things that I normally enjoy are becoming less so.  Falling asleep is starting to be a pain in the ass sometimes, and food doesn't have as much flavor.

It's still off and on, but more recently, it's been on.

I don't want to take daily medication for it, unless I have to.  I think that stuff probably takes a toll on your organs, so I like to avoid it when I can just tough it out.  I did take 2 benadryl a little while ago, but all that doezzzzz zzzzz zz zzzzz.

My ex had allergies. I always assumed he was just a pussy.  Wink

I don't have the type of allergies you're talking about. However, I'm allergic to everything else. I breakout in hives and stuff. I have a regular dermatologist on the payroll.

I am extremely allergic to bees/wasps...but that's about it. Most of my family has a lot of airborne allergy issues like ragweed, pollen, etc..., but I didn't get any of those. This gives further weight to my brother's childhood mindfuck about my being adopted from a poor czechoslovakian family.

I have a slight issue with the Oak tree pollen. That time has passed us here though so I am doing fine right now.

Buddhagirl, your potty mouth is giving me impure thoughts again!   Sad

What was the topic again?  Oh, allergies...

I'm very allergic to everything (trees, dust, mold, animals) ... 'cept TDMMC babes.  Tongue

Allergies got me out of hauling hay growing up.  During harvest I had to have the truck windows rolled up while around the combines ... talk about sweltering!

When twin girls with horses moved into the neighborhood I somehow managed to tolerate a lot of horseback riding .... mind over matter I guess.

I'm allergic to Nisoril.... it's a medicine used to treat skin discolorations, but my body reacts to it in a weird way.  I don't break out right away.  Rather, I'll break out in hives about a week after I stop taking it.

I am just the opposite as Dave and Lil B.  I wasn't allergic to anything when I was younger.  Now I spend a good month or so in the spring and again in the fall sneezing, itching, eyes watering and generally being pissed off.   I didn't know that you could just acquire allergies whenever your body got around to it.   I don't have any food or medication allergies though.
