Do we really know what his condition is?  While type 1 diabetes is clearly defined, from what I've seen, there are different levels of it.  Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong (without the attacks of course).

Keep in mind that this is what the doctors are saying.  Doctors can spin things off on the media too..... just ask the family of former Celtics star Reggie Lewis.

There are three levels
1. Pre diabetic
2. Type 1
3. Type 2

Ten seconds on google or looking in a medical guide will answer your question.

That's not quite true. Type 1 was traditionally knows as juvenile diabetes as it generally children who are diagnosed. Type 1s don't turn into type 2.

A Type 1 - there is an autoimmune disease that destroys the parts that create insulin which is needed to control your blood sugar levels. A Type 1 patent is going to have to take insulin whether through injections or a pump. There are hard to control cases, generally called brittle diabetics, but it doesn't sound as if Jay Cutler has this problem.

Type 2 was known as Adult-Onset diabetes.  It is  a metabolic disorder that does not require insulin and generally is controlled with diet and exercise. When one refuses to do this, then they may have to take a pill to help control their blood sugar
