Umm sorry..it's a Bye,week,I've got split screen of the Baseball game, and different football games....My mind is thinking...

Dexter.....tonight...Dexter.. I get to watch Dexter....

It's gonna be so odd for me to only watch one episode..I've gotten really used to sitting down, and watching 3 to 4 episodes a pop on the DVD's....The entire season in a matter of a few nights....

My biggest thing, was the gaps in time in between The end of season 2 to the beginning of season three....

*****Some season 2 spoliers....****

1.) Dexter was shot in the leg by Doakes during the fight..It sort of played a part in the one episode, yet it mysteriously healed, and no one found out....His Dexter and Rita are going at it like rabbits and she didn't notice...

2.) They sort of left Frank Lundy(Keith Carridines character),He just left no mention of him at all ...Debra just gets her haircut, and Gives up Men,drinking (well sort of),and smoking....

(My Typing, and grammer has been atrocious the past 6 to 8 weeks...My apologies,I fixed typos.)

Lil B, the pervert in me had to read that sentence twice in order to understand what you were saying...  You definately needed a comma there!  LOL

The gap in time was a bit of a surprise for me also. It could turn out to be a good thing though because seeing some of that slower stuff would have drug on for me I think. I am happy they stepped straight into another mess with the current plot.

^ I agree to a point...It just seems odd to me,Last season hardly happened....

****Thoughts on season three, and where it's ging..... possible Spoiler****

(I know it's not hard to figure out,and not much of a reach)
I think Jimmy Smits is the king pin of the drug ring...

I noticed whhen looking up Keith Carridines name (I kept wanting to call my John) that Jimmy Smits is only listed in 3 episodes this year....

Finally got to watch it tonight (we tivoed it since it was on opposite that vampire show my wife likes).

To answer a few of your questions B-
Dex wasn't shot in the leg, he said the bullet grazed him. He was fine by the end of season 2 (no limp or anything).
Also, I thought they did wrap up the storyline with Lundy? I recall Deb kind of calling it quits with him when she took her bags out of the taxi to go help Dex and the kids.

I also agree with Phish, the gap in time actually played very well. Kind of explains why Rita "knew" she was pregnant. Dex says something to Rita during sex about being "on fire lately", so it kind of implies she was already prego and got prego during the time lapse (I'm basing that on her reaction at the end when she kind of realized all her actions were similar to earlier in her life when she was prego)

Watched this for the first time.  Now I think I need to see seasons 1 & 2.  Couple observations:

1 - Rita is all kinds of hot and I need more sex scenes with her in them.
2 - Smits is all kinds of suspicious of Dexter already.  Anyone else notice the glance that he shot at Dexter when Dexter was leaning over the casket?
3 - I hope this entire season isn't this one story line.  It's a good one but it's much like Nip Tuck's season when they focused everything on the Carver.  Good...but stale after a while.

Philly nailed it. He was shot but it only grazed his leg and Lundy told Deb that as soon as the Bay Harbor Butcher case was over he was leaving Miami. So he did and Deb dealt with her latest rejection with a hair cut and sobering up.

As for what's going on right now...I think Jimmy Smits is the real deal. And there is something up with Dexter's original target. Perhaps another serial killer. I'm saying that cause of his junkie GF found with the skin patch missing. And previews of upcoming episodes show other bodies with cuts of flesh missing out of them too.

I think the dead crackhead is just a coincidence they added in. In seasons past they didn't introduce the antagonist that early.
