It is possible for THREE AFCE teams to make the playoff (although very unlikely)

Jets and Dolphins win this week.

Patriots win out.

Ravens lose a game.

Colts lose both games.

Final Jets-Fins game ends in a tie.

Patriots would win the division, Jets would be the 5 seed, fins would be the 6 seed.

Would it be against the rules of the NFL for the Dolphins and Jets to agree to a 0-0 tie?

Yes, that would be collusion.

And anybody who would even consider taking a guaranteed wild card spot instead of fighting for the division title should be fired form their NFL job.

Plus the Colts have to lose two for it to work.
