The NFL have extended the deadline, giving them until 2:30pm (local) to get the remaining tickets sold or Phoenix is going to experience a blackout.

It looks like they'll manage it - only about a couple thousand tickets left - but still...

When was the last time a team failed to sell out a playoff game?

The Dolphins failed to sell out home playoff games in the 1983, 2000, and 2001 seasons.  They also had to get the TV station to guarantee the sale of the tickets or they wouldn't have sold out their playoff game against KC in the 1990 season.

Personally, I think it's pathetic if a playoff game does not get sold out.  A PLAYOFF GAME??  Even more pathetic when it's the Arizona Cardinals who haven't hosted a playoff game since Moby Dick was a minnow.

This says a lot about Arizona fans.

I can understand not selling out regulars season games when you are having a season like the lions or the dolphins last year. But playoff game should sell out with in 2 hours of tickets going on sale.
