So if I follow your style of writing, but tune it into a different sport, I've "Stolen your pieces"Huh  And for your info, yes, I do have NFL memorabilia at my desk.  And yes, the guys in my post are guys I played ball with in high school, and I talk to them on a weekly basis.

And last of all, it wasn't "word for word".

Chill.

No Tommy........you were definitely copying his shit.  If you enjoyed it and stated you were borrowing it I don't think he would have a problem . If Others see your post and then think this is were he gets his Ideas it could be serious. Don't fuck with another mans bread and butter bro.

Jeez, Tommy.  I started to feel sorry for you, and then you say something dumb like that.

What's he supposed to do -- fly to see you, so that he can ask you to think for yourself?

Because that's what some people on this board like to do.  They know they don't have the balls to do it to my face, so they have to do it from behind their computers.

I have lost every ounce of respect and compassion for you that I once had.  You can't even man up and say "you know what?  You got me, my bad.  Won't happen again."  You simply go on and on, tell me to chill and insinuate that you want to fight me?  Not to mention insulting my intelligence, and everyone else on this board, by claiming it was not a blatant and utter word for word rip off?  You changed MLB stuff to NFL.  That's it.  You changed Josh Beckett to these NFL guys.

You talk about "not having the balls to face you?"  I wouldn't walk across the street to talk to you at this point.  I'm that peeved.  And that says something because I don't get peeved.  I liked you.  Really did.  In regards to "balls" - if that was meant for me -  the invitation that I put out to anyone stands for you as well:  Come on up to Maine, sign a waiver and tape up.

I'll state again, this was never an attack on Tommy.  It wasn't personal.  When I screw up I man up and say I screwed up, I don't make it worse.  Tommy - you've shown you can't even do that.  "I really liked that part of Maine's piece back in that day, you're right - I am using his theme."  Would that have been so hard?

I can't believe that I have actually have defended you in the past.  People piled on and I would be one of the first to dive in and say "hey, let's play nice here."  Done.  I'm completely and utterly done with all things Tommy.  It didn't need to come to this.

People only pick on you because you make it so easy.  This is just another example.

Yes, Tommy, it would be.  You stole someone else's work and tried to pass it off as your own.  It just happens that you had "media guides" around "your office?"  You just happened to get emails from "NFL players?"  The lines about the empty stadiums?

It's a blatant word for word rip off of someone else's work and it's not cool on any level - right down to the "NFL, I live for this" - which is a rip off of a Major League Baseball slug line (and one I told you about last year when you did the same thing).

It's not that hard to understand and it's not defendable, really.  You stole someone else's work and tried to pass it off as your own.  We aren't talking about one sentence here, it's a whole THEME.

That post included real emotions from me, real sentiment and real work.  Those words weren't stolen from someone else, they are part of my "craft", if you will.  And it's not cool.

It shouldn't matter if Maine is a writer or not.  Copying somebodys post like that without giving them credit is wrong.
