Dolphins: Peppers just the ingredient needed?

Panthers star defensive end Julius Peppers has made it clear that he wants out of Carolina and into a 3-4 system just like the Dolphins run.

He told his agent that one of his preferred destinations is Dallas, two other NFC teams and one AFC team. Duh? Can you say Miami?

I tried to contact his agent Carl Carey several times today, but to no avail.

How would a Peppers-Porter bookend look? What is that, 32 combined sacks?

If the Panthers put the franchise tag on Peppers he would get $16.7 million this year. The Panthers would surely seek at least a first-round pick for Peppers. The Panthers are apparently closing in on a deal for Pro Bowl left tackle Jordan Gross.

Do you think Peppers is worth a first-round pick and about $30 million over four years? Hmm.

Too high a price for a rebuilding team.  Yes, I say rebuilding despite the 11-5 season posted.  This team isn't as good as that record.
