I'm not the kind of guy who wants everyone fired for every little thing.  But I hold officers to a very high standard.  This guy shouldn't ever be a cop another day in his life, young or not.  If you don't have the temperament for the job, you should go find something else.

I'm not saying he should have to be ex-communicated from society, but in many, many professions, there are certain mistakes you can't make and come back to the job.  This guy should go find something else to do for a career.  People switch careers every day.

If we want a better police force, we must demand it.

He made a mistake.  He should have at least let the passengers enter the hospital IMO.  I don't think it's so bad he should be terminated, unless he has a pattern of behavior like this.

I guess he won't be fired because he quit.

OK I only read the story and skimmed the posts but does anyone not see that Moats put his life and the passengers in his cars life in danger?

Editors note: Crass is really not a good developer of sentences. Please if you have a clue on what I'm saying don't ask me to elaborate. If you don't know I'm sure someone who has a better grammatical control of the English language will explain.

I beleive he actually stopped at the light and checked traffic before then mvoing through the intersection. Not nearly as dangerous as blasting straight through which I thake it you think he did.

From the coverage of it, Moats apparently crawled through with his emergency blinkers going. He didn't proceed until the other cars "let him".
