I'm tending towards the "this is kind of lame" side in this whole debacle. Yeah, I get that teams are supposed to list players with injuries, but pretty much ALL teams deceive. In this case, it was known the Favre had some kind of injury to his arm, but he wasn't receiving treatment and there was never any doubt as to whether or not he'd start. "Probable" is supposed to mean 75% chance of starting, according to the same NFL that dealt out this fine.

Sounds kinda like the Jets pulled the same move in "Any Given Sunday"

This must have been the worst cover up in the world since anyone with football knowledge knew Favre's shoulder was hurt last year.

Wow, $125,000 that'll teach them, so they need to sell what, 3 more season tickets next season to cover it?

Personally, I think they should just get rid of injury reports.

Treat anyone who left the game with an injury last week under his own poper the same way you now treat players that are reported as questionable.

Treat anyone who left that left the game but needed a stretcher the same way you treat players that are doubtful.
