Tommy and I are taking the party bus to see the Dolphins-Jags game this Sunday. I'll do my best to keep Tommy in line and out of the clutches of any local gendarmes. Anyone else likely to be there for a little TDMMC get together?

I can't go this year, but you will have fun.  It's a good stadium experience.

Great game today and Doc and I had a wonderful time and met a bunch of nice people on this bus, some of who will be joining this site.

Pics and elaborate stories will come tomorrow.

Tommy and I were sitting underneath some of the sky boxes, and it turned out Steven Ross was right above us in his box. We caught his attention, flashed our dolphin jerseys, and Mr. Ross pointed at us, and pumped both fists into the air.

Tommy then made the fins sign above his head with his two hands clasped together, and Mr. Ross did the same.
This may be the greatest moment of Tommy's life.

A few pics from the Jags game.

Doc and I having breakfast at Shoney's before the game.  We walk in, see two waitresses in Jags shirts and they shrank back from us in horror.

Doc and I pose in the parking lot with three of our would be busmates.

On the bus, everyone was drinking and having a wild time.

Doc and I at the tailgate party.  There was a LOT of food, beer, soda, and liquor to go around.

Doc makes conversation with a couple of the people on the bus with us.

Three people who we got to know while on the bus.

There was a ton of food to go around.  Burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and all the sides to go with it.

Doc and I with RJ, the guy who put this party bus together

Hey D_B, I hooked up with a Donkos fan.

There were a LOT of Dolphins fans at this game, and I saw a LOT of Ricky Jerseys.  Here I am with a few Ricky fans.

It was a long walk from the parking lot to the stadium, but Doc found a guy with a reliable mode of transport.

Two jags fans who heckled us throughout the game and on the bus ride up.  They were quiet on the way back.

Was the tailgate supported by the stadium?  Was it all a big package with the bus ride?

More pics.

Pregame Warmups

Heading to the locker room before the game

Lining up for the play where Lousaka Polite catches a pass on the one yard line.

Marching down the field for the second TD drive

Doc and I react to Henne running it in on a naked bootleg.

Lining up for the play where Ricky fumbled the one he lost.

Me reacting to Randy Starks stuffing David Gararrd on 4th down with 1:26 left in the game

The Dolphins and Jags talk after the game

Doc and I reacting to the win.  Some stupid Jags fan ruined the picture.

After the game, we "wound down" and tailgated a little more before getting back on the bus.  Doc makes conversation with one of the Jags fans who heckled us.  He was kinda quiet.

Doc looks on as another busmate prepares to throw him the ball.

And of course, Big Papa Pump showed up to hang with us

Doc and I celebrating a hard fought victory for the Dolphins

And at long last, the bus arrives back at its destination and we say goodnight to all.

It was a big package with the bus ride, not supported by the stadium.  For $150, we got everything included.  We ended up with pretty good seats which happened to be under the visiting owner's box.

A couple of inside jokes.  Doc's story about being under the owner's box is very accurate, with the exception of it being the greatest moment of my life.  More like it made my day.

On the way to the stadium, RJ got on the mic and read the "Code of Conduct" at Alltel Stadium.  Here's some rules and how the bus reacted:

1. No rowdy or disruptive behavior.

OOOHHHHH RAHHHHHHHHH!!!!  LET'S GET OUTTA CONTROL!!!!!

2. No impairment or intoxication that results in rowdy or disruptive behavior.

AS LONG AS IT DONT RESULT!!!!!!  YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

3. No profane or abusive language

MOTHERFUCKER!!!!  WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING??

Transportation + Ticket + Food + Beer for $150?  Not too shabby.

It was a great deal, and we had a hell of a good time. The win by the Dolphins, ugly a win as it was, made it all the sweeter.
