It's about time.  they way the middle of the field was open last year, I didn't even know if the team was fielding a FS during the game!

Fau and I were talking about Gibril yesterday, and I mentioned that I would have no problem with Gibril not being on the Phins roster this season. He was overrated when he got here and never, imo, lived up to his contract.

I hope him he best, but I'm glad he's gone.  I think he was one of our biggest detriments.

Never ask a GM about a player because you'll get smoke blown up your ...

I knew that Wilson was a goner even when Jeff Ireland last week in the Sun-Sentinel, deflected the issues concerning his play and tried to put him in a favorable light.

But Antrell Rolle? I don't think he's the answer. They need to go with Clemons or Jason Allen at free safety. For some reason, I think that Allen is a late bloomer and he'll have a fine season. Why spend the money on Rolle? That can go towards an inside linebacker with great upside potential.

Wilson was a very good strong safety playing free safety on a team with rookie corners.  He didn't stand a chance.  I really don't blame him for very much.  Am I sad to see him go? No.  We have other good strong safeties.  Unfortunately, I don't think Clemons is ready for free safety and may never be fast enough for that position in the NFL.

Jason Allen may also be an answer at that position, but I am more than a little worried about who will fill that role this year.

I agree with everything you said, but Clemons not being fast enough.  From what I remember, he runs a high 4.3 / low 4.4 forty.
