Which is great news, surely an upgrade over Ayodele. So does this take Rolando McClain off the Dolphins draft board? Does a safety, like Earl Thomas of Texas,  now become the first round pick? Or NT Dan Williams? I know it makes no sense, and I'll probably get ripped for it, but will they go offense, and what about CJ Spiller with the number 12 pick, a home run threat every time he touches the ball?

With the release of Gerbil Wilson, does that mean they think Chris Clemons is ready to step up, or are they drafting a safety? Lots of questions, but I'm glad Dansby is a dolphin.

A loyal fan of the 'fins since the time of Joe Auer, Dick Wood, and Wahoo McDaniel.

Holy crap players are getting some great deals this year. This is going to make it harder to get a new deal done with the union. What incentive do the players have of agreeing to a cap if good, but not great, players get multi-year deals at $8M a year, half guaranteed?

If you look at the highest paid inside linebackers before the recent spate of signings, Dansby was on top with his one-year deal with the Cards, but no one else got $9 million a year and only one player got more than $8 million. Guaranteed money was typically in the 30-40% range.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled we got Dansby, but I'm very surprised at the general level of the contracts being signed this off-season.
