A good friend of mine (and overall really smart guy) got a job writing for MLB.  He moved to NY and has to covers the Yankees and Mets, mostly, but once in a while he gets to write for his favorite team, The Marlins.  This is his latest article.  If you have time in your busy day, baseball fans, give it a read, and comment.  I appreciate it.

That name sounds VERY familiar.  Was Adam writing / blogging for the Marlins the last time they were in the WS (versus NYY)?  I am pretty sure I had dinner with him (and a bunch of people) after one of the games in South Florida that year.

I don't believe he was.  I think that this gig only started for him about 1 year ago.

Next time you see / talk to him, ask him.  Maybe he was an intern or something?  Tag along?  I am great with names, that name sounds familiar.

Nothing personal against your friend.  But I have no use for his kind.  Yeah, every team has them including the teams I root for.  But I think they are all useless.

Never have been a fan nor ever will be of the team employees acting like they are reporters so they can write puff pieces that look like actual new stories.  I would rather read beat reporters stories, than a guy hired by the team to be a cheerleader.

He isn't employed by the Marlins.
