I guess they are pinning their hopes on Fitzpatrick now.  I wonder why they released him instead of just demoting him.  Maybe he asked to be released.

You have to think Edwards talked his way out somehow. He was the starter, what, two weeks ago? And now he's not good enough to back up Fitzpatrick??

Edwards sucks.  He should have been released years ago.  They have given him chance after chance and the team continuously plays head and shoulders better with Fitzpatrick.  That shows you how terrible he is, since Ryan Fitzpatrick makes him look like Akili Smith.

I'm more shocked that Jacksonville picked him up and seems to think he can "compete with David Garrard for the starting job."  (newspaper's words, not mine) Not that either one of them is that good to begin with.

I think fyo is on to something.  This must be politics or attitude or something.  Your starting QB to the street in one week?  It just doesn't make sense.

Didn't that happen to Charlie Frye in Cleveland a few years back? He was the starter in week one, and I think he was traded by week 3!
