I think many people are watching Tim Tebow,  whether to say "I don't care", "I told you so" or just root him on. He may just get his "first" chance this weekend.

http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_16879662

Tebow, who has not played a snap in the Broncos' last three games, would make his first NFL start Sunday in Oakland if Orton cannot play. But Broncos interim coach Eric Studesville said Thursday no decision would be made on the team's starting quarterback until much closer to kickoff

....

Although the coaches haven't made a decision, rookie QB Tim Tebow looks to be closer to starting on Sunday. ( John Leyba, The Denver Post )

....

He did well (Wednesday), he ran the offense, he went in there, had command of the huddle and threw the ball well," Studesville said. "I thought in practice he did a nice job for us."

....

Tebow has spent some additional time with offensive coordinator Mike McCoy this week, but McCoy said Tebow "has stayed late since the day we drafted him" and called Tebow a football junkie.

It's too bad that McDaniel isn't there, since he hand-picked Tebow.

2 games in and he has a 300 yard game and a win. I realize he hasn't proved anything but with all the criticism he received I bet a lot of people are disappointed he hasn't flamed out as predicted.  I mean, he is competing in the NFL albeit against bad defenses.

I want Tebow to succeed because of how ridiculous his opponents have been before he even entered the league.

Sorry. I stand corrected as I didn't realize Henne had said anything.

Tebow is one of those guys that many are just waiting for him to fail whether it to be football related or personally. I think this adds to his even casual fans as they feel they have to defend him constantly. I know Florida fans who named their dogs after former players who didn't follow them in the NFL because they aren't fans of the NFL.  Today they are following Tebow and wearing Broncos jerseys.

I have to wonder what it says about our society when an apparent good person is so targeted to bomb.   In many ways I think people such as Peyton Manning are also targeted but because of his outspoken Christianity Tebow is moreso.
