Bottom line is everyone you mentioned in your post above played on a team with at least 1  speed WR. A burner. Rice had Taylor as just one example. Im not saying every WR needs to be a speed guy, but you need to have 1 on your roster to expand the field. So everyone just can't crowd up. Make opponents respect your deep passing game. We don't have one of those guys.

The Ravens have Anquan Boldin and TJ Houshmandzadeh neither known for speed their other receiver is 36 yr old Derrick Mason again not a blazer!

I'm naming receivers that are slow and still catching deep passes even when the speed guys aren't on the field!

I've seen Marshall, Hartline, Moore open deep many a time so speed hasn't been the problem for being able to go deep... It's the lack of a QB (Henne) to get the ball to them!  It's no coincidence the dolphins running game is non existent... If you don't fear a team going deep you can jump on everything short including runs!
