trying to refocus on positive things with respect to the fins heading into this new season...

this defense is really good, and can be on the verge of say top 5 in the nfl. to say that the dolphins will just be left with fighting for 3rd place in the division i think is an overreaction, and severely underestimating how good this defense is. the jets aren't that much better than the dolphins...

soliai has become a monster in the middle, and it is going to be tough to run on this team. wake is a beast, the corners have the potential to be the best tandem in the league. i think that if they can get another pass rusher, this defense will be downright scary. it can certainly be a physically imposing defense that will be problematic for teams in the afc east to deal with.

at this point where the dolphins are at as a team, i would try and go out and figure out how to bring in another serious pass rusher to this team.

Defense will be outstanding this year for Miami.

That might have been true a week ago, but I think it's fair to say that Davis/Smith becoming better than Asomugha/Samuel (or even Aso/DRC) is slightly less likely than Henne becoming better than Drew Brees.

^^^ Both are extremely unlikely, but the Henne-Brees side of that is just flat out impossible.

I think our CB duo has the potential to be top-3 in the league "this season"...but Nnamdi is a different kind of animal.
