Armando's latest blog:

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/

people are taping practices and uploading them to the internet, such as Youtube.com.  Many of them show team periods where the first team offense is running plays against the first team defense. They show the Dolphins use of Reggie Bush. They show Miami's blitzes.

Armando alerted Dolphins vice president of communicatons Harvey Greene to alert him about the videos, needless to say he was pissed.

wow, why you put out that stuff for people to see???  they announce on the public address system that folks are not allowed to photograph or video any portion of practice.

you must not be a Phins fan if your doing this shit.  prob Beli-cheat has a "fan" at MIA's practice facility

practices are open to the public.  you don't think there are scouts there from other teams?

I have taken pictures at practices.  They didn't seem to care about that as long as you're not a pro with a huge lens.  Videos seems a bit silly.  Not sure why you'd even want to do that.

If you have open practices, you don't work on anything you don't want seen.  When you want to be covert, they have a giant-ass bubble to practice in that no one is allowed to enter, not even media.

Watching and taking pictures are one thing, filming practice is something else. With a film you can play it back for your whole team and scrutinize it much better than you can by simply sending a scout to watch practice and report back.

I understand the logic even if I don't necessarily agree with the practice.

Fans are idiots.

A buddy and I were talking about this instance, as well as the booing of Henne thing.  How can you boo your QB in practice.  That's WHY you practice, to get those things down.  Plus, you have no idea what they're working on.  Maybe the coaches are saying "Throw it, no matter what, so we can get the timing down."  You just don't know.

Again, fans are idiots.

Close practice.

It's the year 2011, every camera these days has video capability of some sort. To try and monitor this stuff is just silly and a waste of time.

And if the coaches are doing important stuff and any sort of gameplanning in front of the public then are are really the stupid ones!!
