I never did understand all his mouth and attitude... he talks like he's some All Pro LB like Ray Lewis!

He sucks!

It's obvious his bark is bigger than his bite!

I have to admit, I listen to him talk with joe rose the last 15-20 minutes and he was actually pretty cool.  giving props to Zach Thomas, with teaching him how to read the QB and set the Def based on his signals and OFF setup.

I guess what was really frustrating with Crowder was how he talked a good game, but never really seemed to back it up when it counted. I don't discount his passion & love of the game, I just don't like when guys talk themselves up to go against a team or certain player.

more times than not, it backfires.  the top players don't need words, their play speaks for it.

also, doesn't sound like he's too fond of Ireland.  that's a prevalent feeling, I believe.

I don't believe I've ever met someone who was fond of the person that fired them.

Michael Vick at least says he is.

Bust on Crowder all you want, but he leaves and all the sudden we can't stop the run.  I told you guys that he was very good at lining up the defensive front.  He may have been a step slow and struggled with the knee as of late, but he was better than he got credit for.

Don't get me wrong, the move to increase speed at linebacker was probably the correct one.  But someone on that defensive front better start doing more homework.

He also says he was very disappointed at the time it happened. I'm sure in time Crowder will mellow on Ireland as well, especially if he's back in the NFL for some other team next year.

If Michael Vick can't understand why Arthur Blank fired him from the Falcons, then he's still the world's biggest piece of shit by far.

He understands, still it was very disappointing and humbling for him. He was sending e-mails to Blank while he was in prison and Blank didn't let on that they were going to draft Ryan. When they did it hurt Vick because he knew that he couldn't go back to Atlanta. The latest Sports Illustrated issue was dedicated to Michael Vick and has a lot of articles on him. It's very interesting reading. Now of course it's coming from the perspective of Vick himself, but it does seem like he "gets it" now. In fact Vick has said that he needed to go to prison to "get it".

It also talked about why Andy Reid was willing to take a chance on Vick. Reid's 2 sons went to prison on drug related charges and he spent 2 years going to prison and talking with his sons. He said that during those trips he realized that there were people that were in prison that didn't know why they were there and then there were others that realized they were the reason they were there. He said he also realized that there's some that then take the next step and realize they have to work twice as hard as the average guy once they got out of prison because they never want to be there again. He talked to Mike Vick and was convinced that Mike Vick was a guy that realized he had to work twice as hard as anyone else in the NFL to get back what he'd lost and that's why he was willing to take a chance on him.

I disliked Mike Vick as much as anyone when he was sent to prison, I have 4 dogs and they are family to me, but I really think Mike Vick did get a dose of reality in prison and emerged a different person. He's no saint, but his eyes were opened. Opened to the fact that he was getting by the in NFL on talent and not on hard work. When he came back he started to study game film. He came in early and got extra conditioning work to get back into shape. He stayed late and worked on his throwing mechanics and his accuracy. And it payed off for him.

Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, not everyone takes advantage of a second chance. Mike Vick has.

I agree with this!

I agree with everything you said really... you were spot on about prison/jail.  I've been there and don't ever want to go back... so, I changed my life and the people I associate with.  Most people in prison blame everyone but themselves for their being there.

People who know and meet me think i'm the kindest most gentle person that wouldn't hurt a fly or do anything wrong.  That's because I know it was me that led to me almost spending life in prison and my decisions.  I look at the world differently... I agree people need second chances I've made good with mine.. most don't however.

While I don't care for Crowder I can't deny this statement!  It's funny how the knock was he couldn't cover and that's why we were being killed by TE's!  Well, he gone and we're still being killed by TE's and now we can't stop the run...
