Raiders hire Dennis Allen (source), defensive coordinator for the Broncos for exactly 1 year. Total years of coordinator experience: 1. Total years of head coach experience (any level): 0.

Buccaneers hire Greg Schiano (source), Rutgers head coach since 2001. Previous NFL experience consists of 3 years with the Bears as a defensive assistant / backs coach.

Colts hire Chuck Pagano (source), defensive coordinator for the Ravens for the past year and 2007, while being relegated to def. secondary coach in between. Total years of head coach experience (any level): 0.

Schiano has a tough road. Killer division with Saints/Falcons/Newton to compete with.

Not sure about Pagano. Better have a quality OC in place for Luck

Al Davis is dead and that franchise still makes odd hires!

Pagano will build that Colts defense into a respectable one, but I agree with MikeO.  Gotta have a strong OC in place if you're a defensive minded coach.

Here's hoping the Jets start out 1-5, fire Rex Ryan, and promote Tony Sparano to head coach.

LOL, on WFAN in NY they actually had this discussion last week one day for a little while. Saying with Rex's having players quit on him, having LT badmouth him a bit, having the QB McElroy go on that radio station and say what he said, that the Jets need to have a back-up plan incase Rex at some point just implodes with this circus and the fear they have it that its Saparano now! LOL

Jets fans were nervous over that. I was laughing while listening.
