Jets gave the walking turnover machine Mark Sanchez an extension and said they are out of the Manning race.

Easy to say when Manning told them he wasn't coming there! LOL LOL

Jets tried to save face and spin bad news into a positive. Can't blame them for trying I guess

Out of the Manning race but not out of the Henne race.  Don't be surprised if Henne is Sanchez's backup and spot starter.

^^ Actually I agree with that.  Would love to see Henne beat out Sanchez and have all those Jets fans eat their crap for thinking Sanchez was actually better all this time.

Henne won't be spot starting in NY now. Sanchez makes more money than Aaron Rodgers. It will be impossible to bench Sanchez now! It would be impossible to justify and it would get everyone fired!

Mo' money, mo' problems. They got 99 problems, and the QB still is one. Go J-E-T-S! Looking more like the Mets every day.

Gotta disagree with you.  NY Fans don't give a crap how much the guy is being paid, if he's throwing INT's and losing games he'll be on the bench in a NY minute.  It's a typical "we embarrased you, so here's this big contract to help you save face"  Sanchez will never receive the money on that contract (unless he wins big) it will be re-worked down the road, or more likely he'll just be cut.

The fans don't care but the GM and coach who's jobs are on the line do. Pay a QB more than Aaron Rodgers and like an elite QB but then not play him or bench him is silly. That would get the entire front office fired! The deal guarantees him $20+ mill.
