I liked Bell much earlier than later in his tenure. He was just one of the reasons we haven't been able to cover a tight end for years.

I could see the Pats going hard after Bell.  Why wouldn't you?  He'd never have to cover the TE's and their defense (secondary especially) is near the league's cellar.  Bell could add good veteran presence over the middle.

I hope I'm wrong, because he was my favorite player, and I'd hate to see him join the dark side.
