Well, someone doesn't agree with Jason Cole. Just broke a few minutes ago, Tony Grossi out of Cleveland reporting the Eagles are offering their 1st round pick and TWO second round picks to Cleveland so they can move up to #4 and take Tannehill.

Probably won't happen till the Browns are actually "ON THE CLOCK" because Philly has to make sure Tannehill will be there at 4. Trade now and someone could jump them to take him at 3.

Where does Philly pick in the 1st round? They can move up to #4 with just 2 2nd round picks? I doubt it.

If you didn't make the playoffs, and you have your own 1st+2nd round picks plus the 2nd of another non-playoff team, you're almost guaranteed to be be able to package those three picks together to move up to #4 (you're literally guaranteed to be able to trade up to #6, based on the draft value chart).

Yep! And if your the Browns you would get 5 picks in the first two rounds and they could fill a lot of spots. And if your Philly you have someone waiting in the wings and they can get out of that Vick deal in a year or two easily the way they worded it. Once Vick loses a step or two he becomes an ordinary QB and he is getting near that age where, well "age" sinks in.

If Jason Cole said it, it must be complete bullshit and lies.  That guy has less credibility as a reporter than any of us buffoons on this forum.

I agree on Cole. But when it comes to the Dolphins he is usually spot on. He has a good source inside that organization.

You got that right. IMO, there is not a worse sports writer on the planet. Mike Florio of PFT comes in a distant second. Armando is 3rd.

I try to stick with guys that are credible. I like Barry Jackson, Ben Vilon and even Omar Kelly.

Some further opinions on Tannehill (and why I'd rather not draft him):

Former Colts president Bill Polian, who was preparing for the 2012 draft before the Colts fired him in January, said he had Tannehill rated in the 20s on his draft board and called him a “developmental guy.”

“He needs one year, maybe two, behind an experienced guy,” Polian, now an ESPN analyst, said this week.

NFL Network’s Mike Mayock called Tannehill “very raw” and said “he gets eaten alive this year by NFL defenses.”

Mel Kiper: “If he plays this year, he will be a bust.

Todd McShay: “You better be prepared to sit him for at least the majority of the season.”
