Here's how report card works: You are the teacher and you grade our team on a list of classes.  You can break down things very far or just do general stuff.  Grades range from A-F, including Incomplete.

Have fun with it!  Make sure to make comments with your red pen.

 - Quarterback
 - Running Game
 - Receivers
 - O-Line Blocking/Protection
Defense:
 - Pass Rush
 - Stopping the run
 - Secondary
Special Teams:

 - Kick coverage
 - Return Game
Coaching:
 - Gameplan/Play-Calling

I cooked half the day and was drinking a lot of wine the other half, so I will only fill out the parts I feel capable.

Offense:
 - Quarterback - B
Ryan started slow and had me concerned, but was able to make up for his mistakes with really coming through when it counted.
 - Receivers - B-
Clay made a very nice catch today and I saw some nice catches and YAC from other guys.

Defense:
 - Stopping the run A-
Started great, then slipped a bit late -- overall, they did a great job to stop the run against a good RB.
 - Secondary - A
The secondary rides the short bus and is in special classes, so you have to grade them on a curve.  Seattle sucks and we didn't get embarrassed in coverage.  Everyone gets a ribbon and a hug.

Special Teams:
 - Kicking/Punting - A I'm very proud of Dan's ability to make a big kick.  It would've been nice had he started the first two games this way.
 - Kick coverage - D Please see me after class.  We can't be allowing TD returns.

Fan Participation - A+++ - If you went to this game, good for you.

Offense:
 - QuarterbackA- Clutch in the 4th quarter and Tanny won the Fins the game with his play
 - Running Game A+ Thomas had 78 all purpose yards and a TD, 6.7 yards per carry, Bush had 82 all purpose yards, 6.2 yards per carry and a TD. Great 1-2 punch
 - Receivers B  Bess had a big day, Clay played really well
 - O-Line Blocking/Protection C+  Jake Long gets worse each week. Pouncey played great though
Defense:
 - Pass Rush B-  They got to RW just didn't wrap him up every time
 - Stopping the run A++ Did an oustanding job all day
 - Secondary C+  Didn't let RW beat them deep, most of the passes were short and long runs. RJ Stanford played decent for a guy they picked up off the street
Special Teams:
 - Kicking/Punting A+  Carpenter with a big game winning kick
 - Kick coverage D  Can't give up a kickoff return for a TD
 - Return Game INC   Bunch of fair catches can't really grade
Coaching:
 - Gameplan/Play-Calling A  What they did worked cause the team won

Add in Officiating, Fan Participation, Commentators should you choose.A++ Tim Ryan of FOX might be the best color commentator in the business. Very enjoyable to listen to

^^^ I thought Jake Long had a very good second halt after two-three bad plays in the first.

Offense:
 - Quarterback: B.  Tanny had a great 4th quarter comeback, but he threw one bad interception and was saved by a roughing the passer call that negated a second which would have been really bad.
 - Running Game A-.  Reggie and Thomas combined for around 150 yards against one of the better rushing defenses in the league right now.
 - Receivers B.  Clay had a huge game and caught the only TD pass.  Bess played well hurt but cost us a first down when he backtracked and decided to run across the field instead of falling forward.  Hartline played ok but I'm expecting more from him.  Fasano only caught one pass and it was early in the game.
 - O-Line Blocking/Protection
Run blocking: B+.  That's not an easy front to block, but see the difference when the guards and the center are getting out on linebackers and up the field like they're supposed to?
Pass Blocking: C+.  Long got beat inside for a sack (I'm now sure he's playing hurt).  Incognito got blown past a couple times in the first half.  After that, they played pretty solid the rest of the game when Tanny mounted the comeback
Defense:
 - Pass Rush B-.  Too sporadic for a higher grade.
 - Stopping the run A.  All they talked about was Lynch this and Lynch that and he's gonna wear our ass out.  He never really made a run that hurt us the whole game.
 - Secondary: C+.  It's bad enough this team has gone a full month without causing a turnover.  Wilson completed 16 in a row at one point and our DBs weren't even close to the guys they were covering.  The miracle Golden Tate catch at the 5 yard line is aggravating but I can't really count it against the rookie who actually had pretty good coverage.
Special Teams:
 - Kicking/Punting:  A.  Carpenter kicked the ball into or through the endzone the whole game.  Made his only field goal attempt.  Fields was solid as usual.
 - Kick coverage:  Was doing just fine until Leon Washington hit us with that 100+ yard return.  Second week in a row this team has given up a TD on a kickoff.
 - Return Game: C.  Didn't really get much on the returns because of all the FC's.  Thigpen had a couple of ok kick returns.
Coaching:
 - Gameplan/Play-Calling
Again, Tale of two halves.  The first half was bad for all sorts of reasons.  Then we went to the no-huddle and it was like everything changed.  Didn't really understand what the game plan was in the first half and then everything just about they did in the second half worked.

Don't understand why when Carroll declined the illegal motion, it gave us 4th and a foot at our own 41.  Maybe my lack of respect for anything associated with Pete Carroll is clouding my judgement but because it was 4th and a foot, I'd have sent the offense back out and tried to get it.
