...which is what I find absurd.  Can we all agree that the plea bargain would've been granted had he just said "yes"?

YES! But he didn't "just say yes".....he became the class clown and it came back to bite him. He got what he deserved. He is in a court room because he headbutted his wife then violated parole. This wasn't a parking violation. He commited 2 serious crimes and then acted like a child in court. He got what he deserved.  I just hope they make him serve all 30 days and don't let him out after like 4.

Well after apologizing to the Judge, again, and serving (7) days, Ocho was released from jail today.  Anyone wanna bet on whether he will make it through his probation period without getting into trouble again??

Wish they would have made him serve the whole 30 days but I got no big problem with this. The message was sent, act like a clown in court and you will go to jail. Do it again and he will serve his full term that's for damn sure.

And there is almost no chance he will make it through his probation clean. He will do something stupid!

Just want to make sure I've got your criminal psychology formula down here...

* In 35 years of life, Chad has been arrested once.
* He made the mistake of failing to report to his probation officer...once
* His one mistake resulted in a highly publicized and embarrassing situation in the media

Despite only one arrest in his life, and one probation mistake, you feel there is "almost no chance he will make it through his probation clean."

Hmmm...

Tell ya what, MikeO, I challenge that statement with an old school traditional TDMMC "pride bet."

If Chad proves you right and gets in any more trouble before his probation runs out, I will change my signature line directly under my name to read: "MikeO is an amazing judge of character." I will then wear that tag for one calendar month.

If Chad proves you wrong and makes it through his probation without "doing something stupid," you change the signature line under your name to read: "I really don't know everything." You will then wear that tag for one calendar month.

So, step up and accept this "pleasant and good-natured little wager," or admit that your comment was voiced from the deepest regions of your rectal cavity.

Can't bet someone who has the facts wrong. The first fact you mentioned is incorrect. NOT his first arrest. Chad was arrested for domestic battery in Feb 2000. Chad pled "no contest" and the court found him guilty. He was sentenced to 3 years probation and 45 days in jail. His lawyer struck a deal to avoid court time if Chad did 12 months of domestic violence counseling and 30 days of graffiti removal.  AND (here is where your 2nd fact is wrong)....Chad didn't do any of the counseling never showed up and blew off his graffiti work violating his probation so the judge tacked more time onto his punishments.

So before you come up with some lame bet  (which I won't accept anyway) you might want to know what the hell you are betting on and have the damn facts correct!

And here we go again.  SunstroEK vs MikeO.  Lemme turn on my surround sound and grab a cold one.

^^^ Don't you have some imaginary papers to grade or an imaginary boat trip to take, Shand-lark?

Did a quick search for Chad's legal history...wonder why the first one didn't pop?  I do see it now, so I admit my mistake. (You should try that one of these times. it's actually rather therapeutic).

I still think you're wrong about what happens "in the future" though, which is what the bet was for. I do understand you not wanting to back up your predictions with something tangible...I'm sure that tag would have been unbearable for you.  That said, I'll still remind you of your "almost no chance" statement once Chad has made it past his probation.

I gotta agree with MikeO on this one. I believe that Chad actually missed going to his probation officer 3 straight months before landing in jail this time. That's not 1 slipup, that's blowing it off entirely. He was LUCKY to be getting off without jail time and the judge didn't like it when he took it casually and decided that he wasn't getting off that easy. I'm all for giving guys a break that deserve it, but blowing off your probation officer for 3 straight months does not qualify as deserving it.

You need to focus on the task at hand, which is defending yourself against MikeO's onslaught.

Everyone is missing the biggest picture here.  For a judge standard, Johnson's was actually pretty darned cute.

You need to focus on creating a fake persona that falls within your intellectual wheelhouse., like maybe a janitor or dishwasher.

MikeO pointed out an error I made, and I admitted my error and moved on. Quit trying to dump your EK garbage in my front yard...

With that said, the point was what Chad will do for the remainder of his probation period. I don't think he'll get in more trouble...and MikeO does. Since we're talking about project the future actions of a person, not what he's done in the past, only the future will determine whether my underlying point (Chad staying out of trouble from this point forward) is accurate or not.

I'm sorry, Mainer, but that woman looks like she has about 20 layers of spackle on her mug. Can we get a non-glamour shots photo to consider? Grin

He didn't just point out your error.  He took it and shoved it so far up your anal orifice, you'll be shitting the truth for a month.  Eat your crow and humble pie and shut your trap.
