Being the 4th of July holiday weekend,a time for big Summer Blockbusters....

What is the Worst Movie you've seen in 2013?

It can a DVD,Blu-ray,at the Show,whatever...

"Let's not bash some super old movie though...Hey I just saw...from 1969,and it sucked...."

I'm not really thrilled with any of the choices on Blu ray to rent this weekend, and what is available, seems to have reviews all over the place....I would like to avoid a stinker though...

The Purge:  It wasn't a horrible movie, but a couple things ruined it and it now warrants worst of '13.  ...and that f%$&ing ending...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I've actually been highly targeted in my movie selection so far this year. I haven't watched as many as usual, but I've been watching the ones I've really wanted to watch. In that regard, I have to say that I really haven't seen anything I could label as "worst" this year. I reserve the right to bumpty-bump this one down the line, should I perchance encounter a legitimate stinker. Wink

I had a string of them in April- May,that I didn't like....

Hitchcock,Hyde Park on the Hudson,Zero Dark Thirty, the Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey,Life of Pi...They were kind of boring, didn't really hold my interest...

For me the Winner is Hitchcock...

Has to be The Paperboy.  Might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Saw it on Netflix. Said "McConaughey, Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and John Cusak, why haven't I ever heard of this movie..."

Oh, THAT'S why. Trust me, it's a LOT worse the ratings. Roger Ebert called it "Great trash". Actually it's just trash.

There were several I was disappointed with, but wouldn't say they were "bad"

- Identity Thief
- The Incredible Burt Wonderstone
- Admission

All three of these appeared to be great comedic movies, and ended up being not that funny.  They all seemed to have that "how could it be bad with that cast" feeling, but just didn't work out.

I was at a friend's house and his wife ordered Identity Thief. Count me onto that list as well. My buddy got up and lit the grill to cook and I went out and stood and watched him.

I concur on The Paperboy.  Although there were parts I really liked and Mrs. Fin says I'm not allowed to watch anymore, it's the worst one this year so far.

I guess mine is The Hobbit.  I found it incredibly poorly paced and overly reliant on CG where it didn't need to be.

Let me add G.I. Joe 2 to the list.  The Rza as an ancient Chinese martial arts master?  Come on!
