I don't actually go see a lot of movies. Mostly I watch movies that come out on HBO or occasionally I will rent one On Demand so really the best movie I have seen this year (which has honestly been about 4 of them) was Fast 6.

Since I already resurrected a thread for it, my super easy answer has to be:  The Avengers

No other movie I've seen so far this year even comes close.

Avengers was good.  But I loved Fast 6.  But, I saw Despicable Me 2 this past weekend and it was quite funny.

I'd have to say the Hobbit (that was in 2013 right?), but I haven't seen a ton of movies this year. I also enjoyed both Oblivion and Oz the Great and Powerful. I was less impressed with Now You See Me which I just saw a couple weeks ago.

I'm glad to see, I'm not the only one that hasn't seen ONE great movie, that I can point too..and say "That's the best..."

Most of the movies I that I liked, that were pretty good.I had zero,or bad expectations going in...

As Pappy mentioned I liked Oz the great and powerful...

Hansel and Gretel wasn't bad,Watched it Saturday night...

I saw the Vow on a free preview, and liked it...

I really liked Warm Bodies (While a bit of a love story, I like the story from a zombie point of view, the eating the brain effect)

A couple that I liked till the end..
The Call
Dark Skies

Other thoughts
I've not seen Django unchained,I'm not a big Tarantino fan,and don't see the greatness in most of his movies.A little worried I might not like the Star trek sequel...

My best....Wreck it Ralph....I really liked it,I can't think of one, that I really loved more...

Avengers
Fast 6 (sometimes over the top is just fun to watch, plus that ending!)

Not my favorites, but enjoyable:
Jack Reacher
Hangover 3 (everyone said it sucked and I thought it was pretty funny. Way better than the second one. Maybe expectations were too high)

I wanted to see both Hangover 3 and This is the End and I heard they were both awful, so I haven't seen them.  I thought I'd wait for DVD, but surprised to see them both on this list.

DIE HARD 5.  Shit blowing up and bodies flying and a hot Russian enemy babe.  Old School.  Like Bond, but Americanized.
