Wow.  The hits just keep coming, don't they?  You thought with the early season complaining of Wallace (throw me the damn ball) to the swinging gate Clabo, to the meltdowns on the playing field, it couldn't get any worse for MIA?

Weren't we wrong?

There are so many glaring issues on this team right now, that includes both on and off-field related.  I mean you couldn't write a soap-opera any better.  And the fact that it's broken record with this team for the last 10-15 years should come as no surprise to anyone who has been fan during this time or longer.

We always manage to get our hopes up during the off-season, whether it's with FA moves or drafts and somewhere during the season, they shit the bed for a 4-5 game spurt or better yet, they give us hope with a 4-5 game winning streak and fall short at the end.  Then factor in the off the field issues, Ricky smoking dope, Brandon Marshall, coaching issues, etc.

This provides great comedic relief for the rest of the NFL.  At least we've done our job there.

I don't know what to say that would add to this heaping hot mess.  All I know is, is that we're are not heading in the right direction with this Tuna disciple Jeff Ireland.  From his actions, to ill-advised words, it's just not good.

You have to have a great upper-management in this league to survive and stay competitive year after year.  The top teams there, NE, PIT, GB, DEN, etc. make the moves to ensure this.  Whether the owner gets this in place, or has a group oversee this, etc.  You need to get good people at the top level.  When you have buffoons like we do, we may have minute glimpses of success, but no long term solutions.

I always be a MIA fan, thru the good and bad (though this is the theme lately), but it is tough to see this franchise struggle, after seemingly changes to coaches, players, etc., always claiming that they "got it right this time around".

I still trying to figure out how Ireland kept his job and Sparano lost his. The decisions that Ireland made had just as much affect on the team as the coaching of Sparano. Probably even more affect from a talent standpoint. The Dolphins management and coaching remind me of the current president and his administration. A FAILURE

Short of us only winning 1 or 2 more games this year and a total housecleaning (which I don't see), I see Miami ending with 6-7 wins. I see Ireland getting fired. I see someone like Bill Polian being brought in. And he will retain Philbin at the very least for 1 year. Sort of what the Jets did this year with Idzik/Rex. And Philbin will have a year to prove himself.

Polian LOVES Philbin. LOVES HIM!!! It would be a good marriage. And Polian comes in with strong NFL credentials and is thought of highly in league circles which helps Ross with his image too. Only downside is if you hire Bill you must hire his son Chris Polian who has a reputation of rubbing people the wrong way and he isn't well liked at all.
